Gate Open is a proudly local, community-driven business that has grown into one of Gege’s most trusted service providers. Our journey began in 2018, when the Gate Open Supermarket officially opened its doors—becoming the first local supermarket in the area. Built on passion, hard work, and a desire to uplift the community, the supermarket quickly became a dependable place where families could access affordable, quality goods close to home.
In 2021, Gate Open expanded with the opening of the Hardware Store, offering building materials, tools, and essential supplies for both households and local projects. This addition strengthened our commitment to being a one-stop centre that supports the growth and development of Gege.
Gate Open is led by its sole director, Mrs. Busisiwe Mabuza, whose leadership, community spirit, and dedication continue to shape the business into what it is today. Under her guidance, the company has maintained a strong culture of giving back, ensuring that the success of the business is shared with the very people who support it.
As part of our social responsibility, Gate Open proudly sponsored the annual December Tournaments from 2021 to 2024, empowering the youth, promoting sportsmanship, and keeping community spirit alive.
